The Fredericktown Instrumental Department

The Yankee Candle fundraiser starts on Friday, February 12th and ends on Monday, March 1st.
6th & 7th graders.  This is your chance to earn money for your Kings Island trip.  You receive 40% for everything you sell.  Although we do not know exact cost of the trip.  If you raise $50 to $60 worth of profit, this would be most of your ticket and tee-shirt cost. 

2010 Marching Band Members - This will go towards your band camp fee.  This year it is $190.00.  Keep in mind that even though you may not be participating in marching band, these fundraisers benefit ALL band students at Fredericktown.  We are asking for everyone to participate.  We need to sell between $13,000 to $17,000 to keep on pace with what we have done in the past. 

The 8th grade band will be making their transition into their 3rd band book over the next couple weeks.  Students will need to bring in $7 for brass and woodwind books and $11 for percussion books.  We will "officially" begin playing out of it starting Monday, December 14th.  Please make checks payable to the Fredericktown Music Boosters.  Thank you.

Congratulations to the 6th, 7th, 8th and High School bands for their excellent performance at the Holiday Concert on Wednesday, December 9th.  The students showed professionalism, musicianship, and excellence.  I would like to thank everyone who attended this evenings concert. Thank you for your support of the arts!

Due to an extended football season, the first basketball game has been moved from December 5th to January 2nd.  The time is still 6:00pm.  Our first game will be December 15th at 6:00pm.  Students must purchase a tee-shirt to be in pep band.  The cost is $5.  This is their ticket into the game. 

The first rehearsal for the district 10 honors band is this evening.

Saturday, December 5th
8:15 - 8:45       Registration
8:45 - 11:30     Rehearsal

12:30 - 2:15     Rehearsal
2:15 - 3:00       Break/Change into concert attire
3:00 - 4:00       Concert (Jr. High first, HS second)

All band members from grades 5 through 12 should have brought home and order form for a Christmas ornament fundraiser.  Each ornament costs $8.  These are only unique for the 2009 Holiday's so please order your ornament now.  Please click on our fundraiser page to view a picture.  Orders can be placed through a member of the band or buy PayPal through our website.
